LVL

LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is an engineered product designed for use a Structural Applications. It is created by bonding together peeled layers of With LVL being a engineered product, it can be manufactured to almost any length and size. Whilst Confixx does hold stock of LVL's (please ask for a copy our current stock), we find it more suitable to custom manufacture an order to the customers requirements as we are able to provide any size of LVL at up to 8m in length.

I Joist

An I Joist is the common name for an engineered wood joist. An engineered wood joist is designed to eliminate problems the occur with conventional wood joists such as bowing, cupping, twisting, crowning and splitting. Along with eliminating these problems, the I joists are able to carry greater loads than conventional joists whilst remaining lighter giving it an exceptional strength to weight ratio. Since they use less timber, an I joist is a very cost effective choice when it comes to floor systems.

Confixx is able to supply I joists ranging from 200, 300, 360 and 400 millimetres in height by 45, 63 or 90 millimetres in thickness all they way up to 11.8m in length. As each individual job is unique due to wall and beam layouts, Confixx manufacturers I joists to custom suit jobs in order for you to maximise the use of this product whilst saving on costs. OSB

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a high strength board, suited to use as bracing, sheathing and flooring due to its excellent shear strength. It gets this strength from the way it is manufactured, which is done by orienting wood strands in opposing directions and bonding them together using heat and resin. Our OSB is bonded using a Phenol Formaldehyde Resin that allows the board to be water resistant along with extremely strong.
